Steven Krueger expressed his affection ("L-word," as he put it), while raving about how his significant other, actress Candice Accola, was supportive of his participation in the Emmys.
Accola, who is thirty-six, took to Instagram Story on Monday, January fifteenth, to record her attempt to locate Krueger, thirty-four, in the background of the red carpet broadcast. Accola shared several clips of other celebrities undergoing interviews before she finally discovered — and zoomed in on — Krueger outside the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.
“I located you,” Accola inscribed beside the clip. Krueger reposted the post on his personal Instagram Story, appending, “This is love.”
Late last month, Accola delicately confirmed their relationship, which came as a shock to devotees of the The Vampire Diaries universe.
“I laughed. I cried. I laughed til I cried. I loved. Thanks for the dance 2023 &129346;,” she wrote in December 2023, alongside the various videos from the year, including a short clip of Accola and Krueger exchanging a kiss.
Accola gained recognition playing Caroline Forbes on TVD from 2009 to 2017 and would meet Krueger during the show’s run. Krueger portrayed the role of Josh Rosza in The Originals. Following The Vampire Diaries concluding, Accola and Krueger spent time together at fan conventions and cast reunions.
Accola has previously remained secretive about her dating life following her separation from Joe King. The former couple commenced dating after they met at a Super Bowl function in 2012 and got engaged one year later. They broadened their family with daughter Florence in 2016 and daughter Josephine in 2020.

Us Weekly publicized the news in May of 2022 that Accola filed for divorce from King, forty-three, owing to “irreconcilable differences.” Based on court documents, Accola relocated to Nashville subsequent to their marriage ending, while King remained in Tennessee.
One month later, Accola’s eldest child made her television debut with an appearance on the Legacies finale.

Sweet Florence May, the OG Josie and Lizzie,” Accola wrote via Instagram when referencing her fictional character’s children. “You grew in mommy’s belly while I filmed scenes in front of that fire place… you were a little baby visiting mommy at work learning to crawl in front of that fireplace.”
She concluded. “What a truly epic day when we got to stand side by side in a scene together in front of that fireplace. Cheers to all of the fans &129346; hope you smiled some big smiles and shed a few tears &10084;&65039;.”
Krueger, for his part, alluded to his aspirations for parenthood in an interview with 26 Magazine. “A family is definitely in my future as well,” he stated in April of 2023.
