On September 7th, 2024, the SF Pride Board officially sanctioned the following foundational principles for the organization.
The Security of Existence
Our existence is secure when we are acknowledged for our complete selves. Our aim is the physical and existential safety of all within our community, affording us unhindered movement.
Genuine Portrayal
We champion individuals who faithfully embody our community and advocate for our causes.
Exhibit Fortitude, Not Fury
When confronted with adversities, we manage our emotional responses to discover effective strategies for unified action and impactful change.
Foster Inclusivity
Within our collective, we reconcile diverse identities. We cultivate strong bonds with individuals who cherish a sense of belonging. Our endeavor is to construct a sanctuary for marginalized queer individuals globally.
A Symbol of Compassion
We lead by demonstrating the world we aspire to inhabit. We cultivate optimism for those seeking a secure community and an environment where they can feel accepted.
Congratulations are extended to the newly elected members of the San Francisco Pride Board of Directors, chosen following the Annual General Meeting held on September 7, 2024.
Out of 338 eligible voters, a total of 147 ballots were cast during this election process. The four candidates who secured the highest number of votes, exceeding 74, have been successfully elected.
(Note: 74 represents fifty percent plus one of the 147 tallied votes)
Jack Beck, garnering 103 votes
Maceo Persson (current board member), receiving 99 votes
Jupiter Peraza, with 85 votes
Ronnie Jones, securing 75 votes
