The son of Solange Knowles, Daniel Julez J. Smith Jr., who recently garnered significant attention due to a video featuring his cousin and Beyoncé Knowles' daughter, Rumi, has once again captured public interest, this time concerning his romantic orientation. Whispers and speculation have been circulating that he is homosexual.
Julez has now directly responded to these whispers during a live session on his Instagram account. A particular individual raised the subject, making an assertion that read, "He dating Tae. Nicki wig person." It is plausible that this comment was referencing Arrogant Tae, an individual who was employed by Nicki Minaj as her hairstylist in the year 2018 but reportedly resigned merely one month later following severe criticism from her devoted followers.
Following this, another inquisitive follower posed a direct question in the comments section: "Are you gay?" Julez, appearing somewhat bewildered by the ongoing speculation, responded with a query of his own: "Why people are saying I'm gay?" Subsequently, to clarify the situation definitively, he stated, "I'm not gay."
Not long ago, Julez found himself compelled to issue a defense of his actions after a new video clip featuring Beyoncé's two-year-old daughter, Rumi, began circulating widely across the internet. This particular footage, which was purportedly captured by the then fifteen-year-old Julez, showcases the twin daughter of music powerhouses Bey and Jay-Z, who has visibly grown since the last occasion fans had the opportunity to see her.
Although admirers expressed gratitude towards Solange's son for his alleged sharing of the video, Julez later utilized his Instagram Stories to explicitly deny any involvement in distributing the clip. "Please someone explain how someone got the video of my cousin because I've never posted that video ever," he articulated in his Instagram Stories, adding a plea: "Please delete that video." The video was then swiftly removed from online platforms, possibly with the intervention of Beyoncé's professional team.
Interestingly, Julez's mother, Solange, was herself recently the subject of similar gay rumors. Whispers suggested she was romantically involved with Syd, a founding artist of the musical group The Internet, who also held a position within the alternative hip hop collective known as Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, this following her separation from her husband of five years, Alan Ferguson, in the preceding year. Nevertheless, representatives for Solange have communicated to MTO News that these circulating rumors are entirely unfounded.
