Hollywood's Gay Power Couples: Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor, Plus Others

Affection is universal! Celebrated LGBTQ+ couples like Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor, as well as Elton John and David Furnish, have publicly enacted their fairytale love stories. The American Horror Story starlet was initially connected to Taylor back in 2015, and the duo have been steadfast ever since. In January of 2019, Paulson disclosed how her bond with the Two and a Half Men actress commenced. "We crossed paths a very, very long time ago," Paulson revealed on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, jesting that Taylor messaged her. "I was seeing someone else ... and then, there was, like, a Twitter situation that unfolded. We were at Martha Plimpton's residence, for an entity she was associated with, and we both taped a public service announcement for it. We sort of just briefly met and then began following each other on Twitter." Since openly embracing her relationship with Taylor, Paulson has been forthright concerning her "unorthodox" personal life with the Emmy awardee, who is thirty-two years her senior. "My life choices have been unconventional, and that's my affair. Nevertheless, I want to exist responsibly and honestly, without concealing anything. It's complex, because there's a significant amount of negativity in this world, and a lot of good can stem from quote-unquote normalizing something for individuals who don't view it as conventional." The Ocean's Eight actress added, "Our relationship embodies a degree of optimism and daring. Perhaps there's something courageous about it. Possibly, it motivates others to make bold decisions. What else can I impart? We love one another." For John and Furnish, who've been united since 1993, it was important to stay individuals even as they became such an emblematic pairing. The twosome ultimately wed in December of 2014, subsequent to same-sex marriage being legalized in the U.K., and share two sons, Zachary and Elijah. "It's very crucial in any alliance that one partner doesn't get lost within the other, and that's extremely easy if you're involved with a celebrity," Furnish told the Observer back in 2001. "They receive so much attention and deference regardless, it would be so simple to get subsumed into just being their other half. I had my own professional pursuits, my own persona. The most detrimental thing I could do was compromise that." Scroll lower to find out more regarding Tinseltown's queer power couples:
